HILLARY CLINTON (D), ‘08 PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL: I found my own voice. I felt like we all spoke from our hearts and I‘m so gratified that you responded. Now, together let‘s give America the kind of comeback that New Hampshire has just given me. (END VIDEO CLIP) CARLSON: Just how did Hillary Clinton come back? It could have been the Saturday night debate. Maybe it was choking up on the trail on Monday. Maybe Bill Clinton‘s angry defense did the trick. Women over 40 voted for her, registered Democrats voted for her. People who value experience in their candidates voted for her by a huge margin over Barack Obama. But how did it all come together in the face of poll numbers that convinced her own campaign that Hillary Clinton would lose by a double digit margin. Where does the Democratic race go from here? In a moment, former Clinton White House special counsel Lanny Davis joins us with his view.

How would you describe your approach to growth? Growth presents many challenges and many opportunities. History would indicate we have done a below-average job of harnessing the energy and potential of growth. Through teamwork, we can create a positive working relationship with growth that will help us address issues like public safety, public recreation, transportation and economic development. What do you see as the county's biggest challenge? What solutions do you see? Clay County's biggest challenge is making the transition from bedroom community to prosperous community. The rapid rate of the growth, due in large part to our quality of life and schools, has stressed every facet of our infrastructure. The solution will not come quickly but only through detailed planning and teamwork with every local, regional and state entity that impacts what we do and how we do it can we expect to posture ourselves for our future.
Voters flock to polls on historic Super Tuesday
Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton ran neck-and-neck on Super Tuesday as John McCain vied to seal the Republican race in the biggest coast-to-coast White House nominating clash in history. Turnout was set to be high as New Yorkers kicked off the 24-state primary bonanza which rippled across the country, with the last polls set to close in California at 0400 GMT, and Alaska around 0500 GMT Wednesday. In the first state to report, ordained Baptist preacher Mike Huckabee got an early boost by winning the Republican caucuses in West Virginia with 51 percent of the vote over 47 percent for former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. But the day was yet young, and everything was left to play for. Senator Clinton, 60, voice husky from fatigue, has vowed to fight on as opinion surveys picked up a surge by Obama, the 46-year-old Illinois senator vying for the White House job.
Whitney Point voters approve sewer connection
Residents in the Whitney Point Central School District voted 278 to 14 Tuesday to approve a $400,000 project to connect the districts buildings to the Village of Whitney Points new sewage system. Work in the plan encompasses formally abandoning the existing septic systems and connecting to the new sanitation system, in preparation for the actual hookup to the municipal sewer system early next year. The district anticipates receiving about 98 percent reimbursement from state aid for the project. The remainder of the project will be paid with funds available as the result of debt reduction. Village Mayor Gerald Whitehead said it was imperative that the school district connect to the new system that is being officially dedicated Thursday. George Basler .
Ease the pain of winter-ravaged lips
Anyone who's said it doesn't hurt to smile must not have had chapped lips. Chapped lips are basically an infl ammation of the lip itself and can occur for a variety of reasons, including exposure to wind, dry air, cold temperatures and the sun, said Stephanie Burleson, family medical physician with Utica Park Clinic Jenks. “Chapped lips can be a big problem when they get sore. They can interfere with eating, drinking, talking or other types of everyday things," she said. Breathing problems such as asthma that cause people to breath out of their mouth more than their nose can also trigger chapped lips, as can some medications. “Medications for acne, like Accutane, are notorious for drying lips," Burleson said. Heaters also affect the lips by causing the air to dry out.
